Ceramic heating bands are used to heat cylindrical surfaces and are installed on extruders, molds, granulators, and many other plastics processing machines.
Kanthal resistive wire serves as the heating element and ceramic blocks as insulators, protected from the outside by a stainless steel casing. The maximum temperature of such heater can reach up to 650°C. Depending on the installation method, ceramic heating bands are made in a ring or a semi-ring shape. We produce ceramic band heaters with different termination styles, holes, cutouts, wattage, and voltage according to the customer's specifications.
The main advantages of ceramic band heaters include:
Avoid using this type of heater in a wet and dusty environment.
